The heart of the Respect Life Ministry is to foster a respect for the dignity of human life from fertilization to natural death through education, prayer, and sponsored activities that support human life and family in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Activities of our ministry include:
• Holding a "baby shower" for mothers in need annually throughout the month of October (Respect Life month), whereby we collect and donate items to a local crisis pregnancy center.
• Providing prayers, support, and healing for parents who have lost a child.
• Reaching out through healing ministries to women and men suffering from past abortions.
• Hosting a Mother and Daughter Tea, designed to help mothers and daughters (age 10-12) open lines of communication in general, and specifically on the topic of growing up and becoming women.
• Holding a Mother’s Day Rose Sale, supported by the St. Mary youth group, which helps to raise funds for Lake County Right to Life.
• Reaching out to our youth to join activities that promote a Culture of Life.
