Who among us can lose a loved one and remain the same? All who have experienced the loss of a parent, child, sibling, spouse, or close friend are traveling on a path, which can be daunting, lonely, and filled with mixed emotions. Whether that loss was recent or several years ago, the pain of that loss can still remain for quite some time.
Our ministry offers you the chance to meet with members of our ministry and others who have shared the experience of a loved one’s death. You will have the opportunity to learn about grief, bereavement, and what our ministry can offer you or anyone in need.
We also offer practical assistance at the time of death.
Those who share in the work of the Bereavement Ministry provide caring support for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. Follow-up pastoral care after the funeral is the primary goal. Bereavement ministers also collaborate with the family in the planning for a wake service, funeral Mass, and burial rites.
